CF 1.1.3 – Common database on classification of G&S

The name of this project is “Completion of common database on classification of G&S”, which covers a combination of five on-going sub-projects

  1. Taxonomy: Creation of a structure where all G&S can be placed into a conceptualised hierarchy so that terms are connected based on perception rather than wording and spelling.
  2. G&S Harmonization: Creation and administration of a common database and classification practice.
  3. Fill-Up: A predecessor to Harmonization that aims for closing the gap between the number of terms in English and other languages in OHIM’s EuroAce database.
  4. Euro Class: A classification tool that will help searching G&S accepted by different NOs.
  5. Alista: The consolidation of various G&S resources into a single database.
