Background Born in Spain in 1965, he is an industrial engineer with an MBA. In 1995 he joined the European Commission in Luxembourg, dealing with HR matters. In 1998 he moved to the OHIM and dealt with public procurement issues. Between 2000 and 2007 he was responsible for HR matters in the OHIM. From May 2007 to May 2009 he was the Director of the Quality Management Department in OHIM.In June 2009, he became the Director of the Trade Marks department. He is now Director of the Operations Department.
