CTM applications in 2009 boosted by late rush
Strong interest in Community trade marks in the final quarter meant that, in spite of the recession, OHIM received slightly more applications in 2009 than in the previous year.
Provisional end of year figures show that total Community trade mark (CTM) applications for the year topped 88,200, compared with 88,000 in 2008. This compares with the start of the year, when demand was 12% down in the first quarter.
