Why it's time to sign up for MyPage
With the new release of MyPage earlier this week, OHIM's online platform for doing business with the office has got even more functions, a better interface, and improved security.
Around 3,000 customers have already registered for a password-protected MyPage account providing a customised service providing access to among other things:
- Reception of search reports online
- Reception and submission of electronic communications via the E-Communication mailbox
- Online modification of personal details
- Management of a range of applications including our e-filing tools
- CTM Watch - automated e-mail alerts monitoring the status of CTM and IR applications
MyPage is available to everyone who transacts business with OHIM, whether you are have a single trade mark or design or are a professional representative with a large client portfolio.
The enhanced security standards ensure a smooth and quick registration process that can be carried out by e-mail or fax.
New users as well as the existing ones can set up their MyPage account or change their password with a few clicks. A password “strength meter”, a new additional feature, guides the user and indicates automatically the security of chosen passwords.
The portal itself has a better, user-friendly layout and fits in with the general appearance of the OHIM website. The new structure allows a quick access to Personal Data. Bigger representatives' offices will certainly appreciate the possibility to manage their clients' CTM and opposition portfolios. The portal provides shortcuts in the form of drop-down menus to the recently used 50 clients, CTMs and/or oppositions, or a link to full lists where an advanced search can easily be performed.
From the centre of the portal all core services such as CTM E-Filing, e-Renewals, e-Renewal Manager, CTM-Watch and the E-Communication mail box can be accessed quickly. As in all previous versions of MyPage, users also have access to the information resources and databases, an indispensable service that provides information on CTMs, RCDs and classifications of Goods and Services including the new feature of TMview that allows trade mark searches across a number of IP offices.
The new MyPage has incorporated many valuable suggestions and improvements received from our users. With the enhanced security, the next step will be to include RCD E-Filing to cover all e-filings within one interface, as well as new services such as an e-Recordal tool and an opposition online manager in the near future.
