E-Business Developments at the OHIM – The Last Six Months For some time now, the OHIM's electronic business services have been at the forefront of the Office's drive to becoming a fully interactive, accessible and user-friendly e-office. Over the years, much work has been done in this field, and the last six months in particular have seen some important developments.
In terms of new e-business projects launched, one of the more important initiatives in the field of Community trade marks has been the Online Access to Files system (OAF). This provides Internet access to the actual correspondence between the parties and the OHIM, currently for all files dating from 1 st January 2003 onwards. The remaining files from before this date are in the process of being indexed and incorporated into the system, and soon all files on record will be available.
